Rugby | Coach Talk

To grow as coaches, we need to share.

Introduction

Welcome to my Blog, Rugby | Coach Talk. I trust that you will find some articles of interest. I am looking forward to sharing with you and providing a platform for all of us to grow as coaches together. Feel free to read through the articles that I have shared.

I have been involved in coaching for 20 years. Something that has troubled me the most over this period is the unwillingness of coaches to share any rugby information. I have coached at some top rugby schools in South Africa which include Selborne College, St Andrew’s College, Graeme College and Grey High School. Some of these positions required me to develop coaching resources. I will like to use this platform to share this information with you.

I have played and coached at a professional level. I was invited by Jake White and Eddie Jones to join them with the Jake White’s Winning Way consultancy to the Golden Lions Currie Cup team as the Coaching Coordinator and Breakdown Coach in 2009. I played semi-professionally for the Border Bulldogs in the Vodacom and Currie Cup in 2005.

I believe in the sharing of information. This is why I have put together this platform, to do exactly that. Wherever possible I have tried my best to acknowledge the people’s ideas and information that I have used. I know the game is changing and improving all of the time. I welcome any ideas and thoughts that can improve on the issues that I have shared on this blog. Please don’t hesitate to make contact with me.
